8/26/26 - The remaining removals are planned for the rest of the week. Grading on 177th Avenue will begin next week on either Monday 8/31 or Tuesday 9/1. The roadway will be realigned into a T-Intersection with Central Avenue. 177th Avenue will be closed to traffic once grading begins. The closure will last approximately 2-3 weeks depending on weather and construction progress. To access businesses please use Chisholm Street to enter the site.

8/25/26 - Bituminous pavement reclamation is happening today. The pavement will be ground up in to a gravel mixture for future re-use on the project.

8/14/26 - Due to a scheduling conflict, the bituminous reclamation of the roadway will be moved from 8/17/26 to 8/24/26.

8/11/26 - CenterPoint will be doing relocations of gas lines this week. Please use caution when driving though the site. They plan on working at the intersection of 175th Lane and Chisholm Street today and will progress north throughout the week.

8/4/26 - Tree clearing is scheduled to begin late next week. The removal will include the trees, brush, and stumps.

7/20/26 - Surveyors will be on-site 8/5/26 to stake out storm structures, tree clearing, drainage and utility easement, and right of way. Please to do not remove the lath once placed.

7/20/26 - The project is scheduled to begin Monday 8/17/26. The proposed construction schedule can be found here Proposed Project Schedule. Note that is a preliminary schedule and it is subject to change depending upon weather and contractor scheduling.

6/16/26 - Notices have been sent out via mail to inform businesses of the project. The notice can be found here 2205 Resident Notice - Project Info.

6/16/26 - The project was awarded to D&D Contracting LLC at the 6/15/26 City Council Meeting.

5/19/26 - Bid Opening will be 6/10/26 at 11:00 AM. City Council acceptance of the lowest bid is planned for 6/15/26.

5/18/26 - The City Council has approved the project to advertise for Contractor bids.
