To access the Veterinary Hospital or Zen Paws Spa, please enter the site through 177th Avenue off of Trunk Highway 65 and proceed down 176th Lane to the southern driveway. The northern driveway is closed until further notice.
To access Burger King, please enter the site through Chisholm Street off of Crosstown Boulevard and use the driveway located on Chisholm Street. All driveways on 175th Lane are closed until further notice. Driveway on Chisholm Street is open.
To access the Shopping Center or Dollar Tree, please enter the site through 177th Avenue off of Trunk Highway 65 and proceed down Central Avenue to the driveway located south of the Dollar Tree and across from Maxx Bar and Grill. The Shopping Center driveway located on Central Avenue and south of the Shopping Center billboard is closed until further notice. Both Shopping Center driveways on 175th Lane are closed until further notice. The Shopping Center driveway on 176th Lane east of the Dollar Tree is closed until further notice. The Shopping Center driveway on Central Avenue across from Maxx Bar and Grill and south of the Dollar Tree is open. The Shopping Center driveway adjacent to the playground on Chisholm Street is open.
To access the 21st Century Bank drive thru, please enter the through 177th Avenue off of Trunk Highway 65 and proceed down 176th Lane to the driveway adjacent to the playground. Then take a right turn though the parking lot to enter the drive thru. The driveway for the drive thru on Chisholm Street is closed until further notice.
To access Maxx Bar and Grill, please enter the site through 177th Avenue off of Trunk Highway 65 and traverse down Central Avenue to the southern driveway. The northern driveway is closed until further notice.
To access Ham Lake Liquors, please enter the site through 177th Avenue off of Trunk Highway 65 to the northern driveway. The driveway at the intersection of Central Avenue and 176th Lane is closed until further notice.
10/9/26 - Concrete curb and driveway aprons have been installed on the northern portion of the project. Any driveway with curb poured across it is closed until further notice. The closures will last a minimum of 7 days before they will be reopened. DO NOT MOVE BARRICADES OR DRIVE THROUGH THE FRESH CONCRETE AREAS. DO NOT DRIVE THROUGH THE CLOSED ROAD AREAS. Reminder that Chisholm Street from Crosstown Boulevard to 175th Lane will be closed while grading and storm sewer is installed. Please enter the site through 177th Avenue off of Trunk Highway 65 to enter the site.
10/8/26 - Concrete curb is being poured on the northern portion of the site. Driveway access will be limited to one driveway per business/side of the Shopping Center. All driveways with concrete curb poured though will be closed for a minimum of 7 days while the concrete cures before traffic will be allowed to drive over the curb and aprons.
10/7/26 - Concrete curb installation has been postponed until Thursday 10/8/26 due to a mechanical issue with the curb machine. Grading on 175th Lane is continuing. Storm sewer installation on Central Avenue is expected to be finished by tomorrow.
10/6/26 - Grading in 175th Lane is beginning today. Rip rap installation and miscellaneous storm sewer work is happening on 176th Lane in preparation for concrete curb tomorrow. The curb company will be on-site tomorrow morning to set up string lines for the curb machine. Pouring of the concrete curb is expected to begin in the afternoon. Please use caution when traveling though the site as the roadway will down to one lane around curb machine. Chisholm Street from Crosstown Boulevard to the intersection with 175th Lane will be closed starting Monday 10/12/26. Please enter the site though 177th Avenue off of Trunk Highway 65. A section of 175th Lane will be reopened by Friday night to provide access to Burger King before the Chisholm Street Closure.
10/5/26 - Storm sewer installation is continuing on Central Avenue and is expected to be completed by Wednesday 10/7. Concrete curb and gutter is scheduled for Wednesday 10/7 on the northern portion of the site. Concrete pours for the driveways will be on Thursday 10/8. Once the concrete is poured, access to the driveways will be closed for a minimum of 7-14 days to allow for the concrete to cure. Every business will have one driveway open during this time. Once access is restored to the concrete driveway, the second driveway will be closed. Please look at the Crosstown Shopping Center Road & Driveway Closures exhibit for the driveways that are proposed to be closed. The closure of 175th Lane has been postponed until Tuesday.
10/2/26 - The remainder of 175th Lane is expected to be closed by Monday 10/5/26. Chisholm Street is expected to be open next week. It is recommend to start entering the site from 177th Avenue, as Chisholm Street at Crosstown Boulevard will be closed soon.
10/1/26 - Grading on Chisholm Street north of 175th Lane is expected to be completed on Friday and the road reopened. Storm sewer installation is continuing on Central Avenue.
9/30/26 - Grading is expected to finish up on Chisholm Street north of 175th Lane today. Storm sewer installation on Central Avenue is expected to resume Thursday 10/1/26. The remainder of the grading on 175th Lane and Chisholm Street is expected to begin next week. When this happens the only access to the site will be through 177th Avenue during the duration of the grading and storm installation in the area.
9/29/26 - Grading is continuing on Chisholm Street. Surveyors are on site to mark storm sewer locations and concrete curb locations. Please do not remove any lath or wooden hubs that are installed. Concrete curb installation has not been scheduled yet, but is anticipated to be scheduled within 2 weeks. An unmarked gas line was hit this morning causing some businesses to be temporarily evacuated while the gas was being turned off. The line has been repaired and service restored to the affected businesses.
9/28/26 - Grading of the roadway on Central Avenue and 175th Lane is progressing. The contractor will be continuing grading on Chisholm Street between the southern driveway for the Veterinary Clinic and the intersection of 175th Lane for the remainder of the week. Storm sewer installation will resume on Central Avenue and 175th Lane once storm structures and storm pipes are delivered to the site.
9/25/26 - From 176th Lane up to the Ham Lake Veterinary Hospital south driveway, Chisholm Street is now open.
9/24/26 - From 176th Lane to the southern driveway of Ham Lake Veterinary Hospital, Chisholm Street is expected to open on Friday. Following this opening, Chisholm Street between 175th Lane and the southern driveway of Ham Lake Veterinary Hospital will be closed.
9/23/26 - Storm sewer installation is expected to finish up on 176th Lane and Chisholm Street today. This section of roadway is expected to be open Thursday or Friday. Central Avenue and 175th Lane is closed until further notice between the southern driveway of Maxx Bar and Grill to the Shopping Center driveway adjacent to the front of Open Range Cowboy Church. Chisholm Street from the Veterinary Hospital's southern driveway to 175th Lane will be closing in the near future. Please enter the site through 177th Avenue off of Trunk Highway 65 and proceed down 176th Lane when this happens. 176th Lane will be open before the remainder of Chisholm Street is closed.
9/22/26 - 177th Avenue from 176th Lane and east of Ham Lake Liquors northern driveway is now open.
9/21/26 - Storm sewer installation is finishing on 176th Lane and beginning on the north end of Chisholm Street. The class 5 aggregate pile on Chisholm Street will begin to be moved onto 176th Lane as the gravel gets reinstalled. The northern driveway for the Veterinary Hospital is closed until further notice. The southern driveway for the Veterinary Hospital is still open. The driveway for 21st Century Bank drive thru is closed until further notice. The Shopping Center driveway on Chisholm Street adjacent to the playground is closed until further notice.
9/18/26 - The intersection of 176th Lane and Central Avenue is now open to all traffic. Both driveways for Maxx Bar and Grill and Ham Lake Liquors are now open. The Shopping Center driveway on Central Avenue across from Maxx Bar and Grill and south of the Dollar Tree is now open. The contractor will not be on-site today due to the rain.
9/17/26 - The driveway for 21st Century Bank drive thru is closed on 176th Lane/Chisholm Street until further notice. Please use the first driveway by the playground across the road from the Veterinary Hospital or the driveway behind the Open Range Cowboy Church and proceed behind the shopping mall north to access the drive thru. Storm sewer installation is continuing on 176th Lane and 177th Avenue.
9/16/26 - Storm sewer installation has begun on 177th Avenue and 176th Lane.
9/15/26 - Site grading is continuing at the intersection of 176th Lane and Central Avenue. The intersection is planned to be reopened by Friday 9/18 night. This will be dependent upon weather and construction progress.
9/14/26 - Grading has begun at the intersection of Central Avenue and 176th Lane. The intersection is closed until further notice. Class 5 is being removed and stockpiled for future use. Storm sewer piping and structures are being delivered to the site. Please use caution when driving through the site to avoid collisions. Please use caution while driving through the site during and after rain events as the sand and class 5 material can become slippery to vehicles when over saturated with water.
9/11/26 - Class 5 has been reinstalled on 177th Avenue between Trunk Highway 65 and the northern driveway of Ham Lake Liquors. Traffic can now enter the site from Trunk Highway 65. The remainder of 177th Avenue is still closed.
9/8/26 - Grading on 177th Avenue has begun. Storm sewer installation is scheduled to begin Monday 9/14, weather depending.
9/3/26 - Silt fence is scheduled to be installed today 9/3/26 and Friday 9/4/26. Grading of 177th Avenue was rescheduled to begin after Labor Day on Tuesday 9/8/26. An updated project schedule can be found here Updated Project Schedule.
8/26/26 - The remaining removals are planned for the rest of the week. Grading on 177th Avenue will begin next week on either Monday 8/31 or Tuesday 9/1. The roadway will be realigned into a T-Intersection with Central Avenue. 177th Avenue will be closed to traffic once grading begins. The closure will last approximately 2-3 weeks depending on weather and construction progress. To access businesses please use Chisholm Street to enter the site.
8/25/26 - Bituminous pavement reclamation is happening today. The pavement will be ground up in to a gravel mixture for future re-use on the project.
8/14/26 - Due to a scheduling conflict, the bituminous reclamation of the roadway will be moved from 8/17/26 to 8/24/26.
8/11/26 - CenterPoint will be doing relocations of gas lines this week. Please use caution when driving though the site. They plan on working at the intersection of 175th Lane and Chisholm Street today and will progress north throughout the week.
8/4/26 - Tree clearing is scheduled to begin late next week. The removal will include the trees, brush, and stumps.
7/20/26 - Surveyors will be on-site 8/5/26 to stake out storm structures, tree clearing, drainage and utility easement, and right of way. Please to do not remove the lath once placed.
7/20/26 - The project is scheduled to begin Monday 8/17/26. The proposed construction schedule can be found here Proposed Project Schedule. Note that is a preliminary schedule and it is subject to change depending upon weather and contractor scheduling.
6/16/26 - Notices have been sent out via mail to inform businesses of the project. The notice can be found here 2205 Resident Notice - Project Info.
6/16/26 - The project was awarded to D&D Contracting LLC at the 6/15/26 City Council Meeting.
5/19/26 - Bid Opening will be 6/10/26 at 11:00 AM. City Council acceptance of the lowest bid is planned for 6/15/26.
5/18/26 - The City Council has approved the project to advertise for Contractor bids.
