To access the Veterinary Hospital or Zen Paws Spa, please enter the site through Chisholm Street off of Crosstown Boulevard and traverse up Chisholm Street to the southern most driveway. Chisholm Street will effectively be a one-way street until the aggregate stockpile is relocated. To exit from the site from Veterinary Hospital or Zen Paws Spa please use the driveway directly across the road adjacent to the playground and proceed through the back of the shopping center to exit out behind the Open Range Cowboy Church across from Burger King. To access Maxx Bar and Grill, please enter the site through Chisholm Street off of Crosstown Boulevard and traverse up 175th Lane and Central Avenue to either driveway. Both driveways are now open.
To access Ham Lake Liquors, please enter the site through 177th Avenue off of Trunk Highway 65 and use the northern driveway located on 177th Avenue or enter the site through Chisholm Street off of Crosstown Boulevard and traverse up 175th Lane and Central Avenue to the southern driveway. Both driveways are now open.
To access the Shopping Center or Dollar Tree, please enter the site through Chisholm Street off of Crosstown Boulevard and traverse up 175th Lane. Use the driveway located on 175th Lane adjacent to the Open Range Cowboy Church. The Shopping Center driveway on 176th Lane east of the Dollar Tree is until further notice. The remaining driveways on 176th Lane and Chisholm Street will be closed in the coming days as construction progresses down 176th Lane and Chisholm Street. The Shopping Center driveway on Central Avenue across from Maxx Bar and Grill and south of the Dollar Tree is now open.
To access the 21st Century Bank drive thru, please enter the through Chisholm Street off of Crosstown Boulevard and traverse up Chisholm Street to the southern driveway of the Shopping Center adjacent to the play ground and directly across from the Veterinary Hospital. Make a right turn at the playground to pass through the bank's parking lot and into their drive thru. The driveway for the drive thru is closed until further notice.
9/18/26 - The intersection of 176th Lane and Central Avenue is now open to all traffic. Both driveways for Maxx Bar and Grill and Ham Lake Liquors are now open. The Shopping Center driveway on Central Avenue across from Maxx Bar and Grill and south of the Dollar Tree is now open. The contractor will not be on-site today due to the rain.
9/17/26 - The driveway for 21st Century Bank drive thru is closed on 176th Lane/Chisholm Street until further notice. Please use the first driveway by the playground across the road from the Veterinary Hospital or the driveway behind the Open Range Cowboy Church and proceed behind the shopping mall north to access the drive thru. Storm sewer installation is continuing on 176th Lane and 177th Avenue.
9/16/26 - Storm sewer installation has begun on 177th Avenue and 176th Lane.
9/15/26 - Site grading is continuing at the intersection of 176th Lane and Central Avenue. The intersection is planned to be reopened by Friday 9/18 night. This will be dependent upon weather and construction progress.
9/14/26 - Grading has begun at the intersection of Central Avenue and 176th Lane. The intersection is closed until further notice. Class 5 is being removed and stockpiled for future use. Storm sewer piping and structures are being delivered to the site. Please use caution when driving through the site to avoid collisions. Please use caution while driving through the site during and after rain events as the sand and class 5 material can become slippery to vehicles when over saturated with water.
9/11/26 - Class 5 has been reinstalled on 177th Avenue between Trunk Highway 65 and the northern driveway of Ham Lake Liquors. Traffic can now enter the site from Trunk Highway 65. The remainder of 177th Avenue is still closed.
9/8/26 - Grading on 177th Avenue has begun. Storm sewer installation is scheduled to begin Monday 9/14, weather depending.
9/3/26 - Silt fence is scheduled to be installed today 9/3/26 and Friday 9/4/26. Grading of 177th Avenue was rescheduled to begin after Labor Day on Tuesday 9/8/26. An updated project schedule can be found here Updated Project Schedule.
8/26/26 - The remaining removals are planned for the rest of the week. Grading on 177th Avenue will begin next week on either Monday 8/31 or Tuesday 9/1. The roadway will be realigned into a T-Intersection with Central Avenue. 177th Avenue will be closed to traffic once grading begins. The closure will last approximately 2-3 weeks depending on weather and construction progress. To access businesses please use Chisholm Street to enter the site.
8/25/26 - Bituminous pavement reclamation is happening today. The pavement will be ground up in to a gravel mixture for future re-use on the project.
8/14/26 - Due to a scheduling conflict, the bituminous reclamation of the roadway will be moved from 8/17/26 to 8/24/26.
8/11/26 - CenterPoint will be doing relocations of gas lines this week. Please use caution when driving though the site. They plan on working at the intersection of 175th Lane and Chisholm Street today and will progress north throughout the week.
8/4/26 - Tree clearing is scheduled to begin late next week. The removal will include the trees, brush, and stumps.
7/20/26 - Surveyors will be on-site 8/5/26 to stake out storm structures, tree clearing, drainage and utility easement, and right of way. Please to do not remove the lath once placed.
7/20/26 - The project is scheduled to begin Monday 8/17/26. The proposed construction schedule can be found here Proposed Project Schedule. Note that is a preliminary schedule and it is subject to change depending upon weather and contractor scheduling.
6/16/26 - Notices have been sent out via mail to inform businesses of the project. The notice can be found here 2205 Resident Notice - Project Info.
6/16/26 - The project was awarded to D&D Contracting LLC at the 6/15/26 City Council Meeting.
5/19/26 - Bid Opening will be 6/10/26 at 11:00 AM. City Council acceptance of the lowest bid is planned for 6/15/26.
5/18/26 - The City Council has approved the project to advertise for Contractor bids.
