**ATTENTION** The driveway for Jake's Auto Mall has been removed from Trunk Highway 65. To access Jake's Auto Mall, proceed to Chisholm Street on the south side of Crosstown Boulevard, then along the gravel portion of the new frontage road unitl you reach Jake's Auto Mall.
10/28/28 - The temporary cul-de-sac at the end of Chisholm Street has been removed. The retaining wall is planned to begin installation tomorrow Wednesday 10/29/25.
10/27/25 - Pavement at the intersection of 171st Avenue and Baltimore Street is being removed today. If you plan on using either roadway, be prepared of a small drop from the edge of the pavement to the gravel base.
10/21/25 - Class 5 is being installed on the north portion of the project today. The retaining wall has been proposed to begin installation at the end of this week or the beginning of next week 10/27/25.
10/16/25 - Grading within Pond 1 is happening. Class 5 material is planned to be brought in and placed on the north end of the project to provide access to Jake's Auto Mall. The driveway to Jake's Auto Mall is planned to be removed from Trunk Highway 65 next week 10/20/25. Signs will be placed on Trunk Highway 65 to inform drivers which way to go in order to access the Auto Mall.
10/14/25 - Grading within the MnDOT Ditch is happening currently to allow water to flow to the north.
10/3/25 - Storm installation is wrapping up on the south end of the project and is progressing northward.
9/30/25 - Storm installation is being happening on the south end of the project and will progress its way northward.
9/25/25 - Muck Excavation has finished up and site grading will continue. Storm sewer installation will begin on the south side of the project on Monday 9/29/25.
9/11/25 - Site grading has begun on the south portion of the project. This includes stripping top soil and stockpiling it along with excavating of the ponds. Silt fence is being installed around the perimeter of the project and around wetlands.
9/5/25 - Tree clearing will begin today 9/5/25 and Saturday 9/6/25. Silt fence installation and site grading is scheduled to begin Monday 9/8/25.
8/27/25 - Tree clearing is scheduled to begin on Wednesday 9/3/25. Grading is scheduled to begin Monday 9/8/25.
8/19/25 - Surveyors will be on-site to mark out removals, silt fence, and the road centerline.
8/13/25 - The project is scheduled to begin 9/2/25. The proposed project schedule can be found here Proposed Project Schedule. Note that this is subject to change depending upon weather and Contractor scheduling.
